Step 3

Written second opinion report ready in your language

Step 1 — Upload your medical records and ask questions

  • Upload your records to our secure, easy to use platform. We highly encourage you to work with your physician to ensure all relevant documents are uploaded. However, you can also do this step by yourself.
  • Ask the questions you want the expert to answer. Try to be specific - ideally 3 questions should be asked.
  • Your medical records are encrypted and translated to English.

Medical translation is a challenging task that requires exceptional understanding of both medical terminology and the many nuances of the languages involved. Having your records translated ensures the most accurate information is provided.

  • Your Case Manager sorts and organizes your translated medical records, which are then transferred to the academic medical center.

Step 2 — Top medical experts review your case

  • Experienced medical teams at the leading medical centers will determine which specialist is best qualified to provide the second opinion for your case.

The expert reviewing your case is:

  • A recognized leader in your specific type of cancer
  • A faculty physician at a leading academic medical center
  • Unbiased and independent
  • Meeting the highest level of continuous education, training and clinical knowledge in the field (Board Certified)
  • The expert determines if further testing or imaging is required and will involve colleagues as needed to review your case.
  • In most cases, a complete consult note addressing all your questions is accessible in English in our platform for you and your treating physician within 2 weeks. If further testing or additional documents are needed, this process can take longer.

Step 3 — Translation of your second opinion report

  • Your second opinion report is translated back into your language of preference and is accessible on our platform for you and your treating physician.
